Welcome to Valley Mills Friends Meeting.
A Quaker community, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
As each person is made in the image and likeness of God, we seek to treat every person as a gift. We welcome all people to bring their real self: their gifts, their disabilities, their spirituality and story, gender identity and sexual orientation, racial identity and complex histories. May our differences and similarities reveal the variety in God’s creation!

September through May on the second Sunday of the Month is our Sunday School. It is a monthly in-person Adult Sunday School Discussion Group (children/youth are welcome but it is oriented toward adults). We take an article from a magazine or a chapter from a book and discuss it.
If desired, childcare (two trained teen girls) is available and waiting to play with your kiddos in the downstairs playrooms or can draw or do art in the upstairs youth room. You are always welcome to have your little ones with you.
To join us (in person) on the second Sunday of each month (come in the brick building doors, turn left down the hall and we meet at the end of the hall) at 9:30am (well honestly we usually don't get started until 9:40am). We will have coffee, and if someone is inspired sometimes pastries too!
Our next meeting is September 7. We will discuss this article from the Templeton Foundation about Nature centric spirituality. Here is the link or you can find a printed copy in the yellow folder that is pinned to the bulletin board at the meetinghouse entrance.
A copy of the article will be provided when we meet.
"Quakers believe that if 'The Truth is the way,
and the way is the truth,' then a key to finding
one's 'way' in the world is the deceptively simple
act of speaking the truth."
