Our Current Pastor
A bio of a pastor on Quaker website is sticky. For a Quaker meeting the pastor is not the center of the meeting. Community is the center. God speaks to all of us, but we also recognize that some folks have gifts. Some people are more spiritual leaders or particularly gifted at articulating ideas about God and spirit.
Moreover, a theological degree does not confer wisdom; particular education does not create a great pastor. So should we include the theological education of our pastor in the bio? Though these things can certainly help, God is not an elitist. However, as a Quaker meeting we have a message every week. so you might want to know something about who it is that offers a message:

Called in equal measure as partner parent and pastor, Rachel Doll O'Mahoney has been doing ministry of one kind or another since She was a young adult. Rachel earned a graduate degree at Weston Jesuit School of Theology (currently Boston College School of Theology and Ministry) and did her undergraduate work at Quincy University.
Rooted in foundational experiences in prison chaplaincy, She has worked in various ministry settings since then, including Campus Ministry (Rivier College, Assumption College and most recently Seattle University), young adult ministry, youth ministry, podcasting, retreats and more. One or Rachel's gifts is making spirituality and theology accessible.
Rachel has published prayer services in in Prayer Services for Times of Need, Daily Prayer, and 2024 and 2023 Sourcebook for Sundays, Seasons, and Weekdays all published by Liturgy Training Publications
During her time at Seattle University she was awarded the Lavender Award for making Campus Ministry a hospitable place for LGBTQIA students. Rachel serves as a spiritual director meeting with clients from a variety of spiritual and religiuos backgrounds.
Beyond ministry, Rachel has been a janitor, a laundry lady, a DJ.
Rachel and her partner delight in partnership and married life and have 4 children who ensure that they live in the present and find God in the chaos- or at least find the chaos.
